January Safety Spotlight & Winter Weather Recognition

Safety is a team effort, and during our recent winter weather event, that teamwork was on full display.

We want to take a moment to recognize the outstanding safety awareness and collaboration shown across our facilities during challenging conditions. Several team members stepped up to help spread ice melt and clear walking paths where slick conditions were identified. These proactive actions played a critical role in preventing injuries and keeping everyone safe.

We’d also like to thank the Maintenance team for coordinating contractors to clear parking lots and relocate snow piles once they became a potential hazard. This marked our first snow event using these contractors, and an After Action Review has already been completed to identify improvements for future events.

Your awareness, communication, and willingness to act made a real difference.

Safety Spotlight Winner

This month’s Safety Spotlight goes to Miranda Hulsey, who will receive a $100 award for identifying a serious safety concern in the HydroBraze area.

Miranda noticed torches indicating flashbacks and immediately used her Stop Work Authority, halting operations until the correct parts could be installed to prevent a potential incident. Her actions are a strong example of looking out for one another and doing the right thing—every time.

Thank you, Miranda, for leading by example.

The following employees are being recognized for working safely and for receiving positive Safety Tickets from leadership and the Safety Team. Each will receive $25:

  • Ashley Carter

  • Angel LeForce

  • Ryan Pinheiro

  • Eleanor Vann

  • Tammy Smith

  • Josh Wilde

  • Sherry Kuder

  • Landon Wilson

Thank you for consistently making safe choices and looking out for your teammates.

Every safety action—big or small—makes a difference. Thank you to all employees who continue to prioritize safety, speak up when something doesn’t look right, and help ensure that every member of the RAE team goes home safe.

Safety is a team effort, and your commitment does not go unnoticed.
